Questions people ask

Is Qikks Tools really free?

Yes. You can remove backgrounds, convert and resize images, and merge, split or compress a PDF without an account and without a watermark. A free account raises your daily limit, lifts the upload size and saves your history. Paid plans raise the limits again, and Pro adds bulk processing.

Do my PDFs get uploaded to your server?

Almost never. The PDF editor, merger, splitter, compressor, the OCR and text tools and the Markdown tools open your file in the browser and change it there, so the document is never sent anywhere. Two tools do need a server and say so on their own pages: background removal and Chat with a PDF.

Is there a daily limit on the PDF tools?

Merging, splitting, compressing, OCR and the text and Markdown tools have no limit at all and work signed out. Editing a PDF is unlimited too, but saving the edited file needs an account. Background removal, the PDF editor's AI edits and Chat with a PDF are metered, and an account raises what you get.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser on any device. There is nothing to download and no plugin to install.

What image formats can I upload?

JPG, PNG, WebP and BMP. Background removal always returns a transparent PNG so you can drop the cutout onto any background.

How long do you keep my files?

Most tools never send us a file at all, so there is nothing to keep. Of the two that do, cutouts from the background remover are deleted within ten minutes, and a document you open in Chat with a PDF is kept so you can return to the conversation, then purged automatically if you are not signed in. We never sell your files or use them to train models.

Can I process many images at once?

Bulk processing is available on the Pro and Enterprise plans. Upload a batch, and every image is processed and returned together as a single download.

Can I cancel my plan whenever I want?

Yes. Plans are billed monthly or yearly and you can cancel at any time from your account settings. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
