What a merge does to your files

Pages, text and images — copied exactly, still selectable and searchable.
Links and annotations — carried across with their pages.
Page size and rotation — each page keeps its own.
Bookmarks and outlines — not carried over. The pages arrive; the table of contents does not.
Passwords — an encrypted PDF cannot be rewritten. Save an unlocked copy first.

The one decision

Order, and nothing else

A merge has no settings worth arguing about. What it has is a sequence, and getting that right is the difference between a document and a pile.

Drag a card, or use the arrows
The bar above the cards is the finished document drawn to scale — each block is as wide as that file's share of the pages, so a 40-page contract next to a 2-page cover letter looks like what it is.
Every card says where it lands
“from page 12” is the page the document will actually start on once merged, recalculated as you reorder. No counting needed.
Need only some of the pages?
Cut them out first with the splitter, then merge what you kept. Merging is all-pages-in-order by design; two simple tools beat one with a mode switch.
Merged file too big to email?
Run it through the compressor. It shows the real resulting size before you download, and refuses to hand back a file that did not get smaller.

Answers

Questions people ask

Do my files get uploaded?

No. Your browser reads the PDFs, builds the merged document and hands it straight back. We record only anonymous counts — how many files, how many pages, how many bytes — and never a filename or any page content.

Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied, not re-rendered — text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their original resolution, and page sizes are untouched. The merged file is usually within a percent or two of the originals added together.

What happens to bookmarks?

They are not carried over. Pages, text, images, links and annotations all come across; the outline tree does not. We would rather say so here than let you find out after merging a long report.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

You can open it — we will ask for the password, and it never leaves your device — but an encrypted PDF cannot be rewritten, so it cannot be merged. Open it in your PDF reader, save a copy without the password, and merge that.

How many files, and how big?

Up to 30 files, 50 MB each. There is no daily limit and no account. Because the work runs on your own device, the real ceiling is your device's memory rather than a quota we set.
