Four ways to cut
- Pick pages
- Click the pages you want. One PDF comes out with just those.
- By range
- Type 1-3, 7, 9-12 and get three PDFs, one per range.
- Every page
- A 24-page document becomes 24 single-page PDFs.
- Every N pages
- Chunk a long document into equal parts — tens, or twenties.
More than one file out arrives as a ZIP
7- means page 7 to the end
Every page becomes its own PDF, numbered in order, delivered as a ZIP.

What you can type in the range box
Examples against a 24-page document
| You type | You get | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | One PDF holding page 4 | A single page is a range of one. |
| 4-9 | One PDF, pages 4 to 9 | Both ends included. |
| 1-3, 7, 9-12 | Three PDFs, in a ZIP | One file per range. This is the difference between the range mode and picking pages, which always makes one file. |
| 7- | One PDF, page 7 to the end | No need to know the page count. |
| -5 | One PDF, pages 1 to 5 | The mirror of the one above. |
| 9-4 | One PDF, pages 4 to 9 | Read backwards and put right, rather than refused. |
| 4-99 | An error naming the last page | The box says which part is wrong while you type, and the grid stops highlighting. |

Questions people ask
How do I delete pages instead of extracting them?
Pick the pages you want gone, then press Invert — the selection flips to everything else, and splitting gives you the document without them. Deleting and keeping are the same operation seen from opposite sides, so there is one control rather than two.
Why do I sometimes get a ZIP?
Because a browser cannot hand over several files at once without asking permission for each one. One output file downloads as a PDF; two or more arrive in a ZIP. The panel says which before you press the button.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied whole — text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, page size and rotation are preserved. Note that each output carries its own copy of any font it needs, so ten single-page files together weigh more than the one document they came from.
Do my files get uploaded?
No. Your browser reads the PDF, builds the outputs and hands them straight back. We record only anonymous counts — pages, files, bytes — and never a filename or any page content.
Can I reorder pages here?
Not in the splitter — extracted pages keep the order they had. To move pages around, open the document in the PDF editor, which reorders and rotates pages as well as editing them.
