How the page is decided
- Fit the image (default)
- Each page is exactly the size of its image. Nothing cropped, nothing padded — a set of photographs becomes a document that looks like the photographs.
- A4 or US Letter
- For anything that has to print or be filed. The image is fitted inside the margin with its proportions kept and centred.
- Never stretched
- A distorted photograph is a defect, not a layout option, so it is not offered.

What it actually does
Your pixels, placed
A JPG or PNG is embedded exactly as it arrived — the same bytes, not re-compressed — and the page is built around it. The PDF is the size of your images plus a few kilobytes.
- WebP, BMP and GIF are converted
- A PDF can hold JPEG and PNG and nothing else, so those three are re-encoded as JPEG on the way in — counted and named on screen, because it is the one step here that touches the pixels.
- Transparency becomes white
- A transparent PNG keeps its transparency, because a PDF can carry it. A transparent WebP or GIF is flattened onto white when it is converted — without that it would come out with black where the transparency was.
- Nothing is uploaded
- The images are decoded and the PDF assembled by your own browser. We record an anonymous count of files, pages and bytes — never a filename and never an image.

Questions people ask
How do I change the order?
The arrows on each card move it earlier or later, and the number on the card is its page number. The order you see is the order in the file.
My PDF is enormous
Because your images are — they go in untouched, which is what keeps the quality. Phone photographs are several megabytes each. Run the result through the PDF compressor, which is best at exactly this kind of file and shows you the real size before you download.
Can I put several images on one page?
Not here — one image, one page. For a layout, build the PDF and then place the extra images with the PDF editor.
Can I scan documents with my phone and make a PDF?
Yes, and it is one of the common reasons people are here. The result is a picture of a document, so nothing in it is searchable — put it through make a scan searchable afterwards and Ctrl+F will work.
