Why this sticks
Rotating in a photo viewer often only changes a tag, and the next app ignores it. Here the pixels themselves move, so the picture is the right way up everywhere — email, print, any phone.
- Turn
- A quarter at a time, either way. Four presses brings it back.
- Mirror
- Across for a selfie that reads backwards, down for a reflection.

Questions people ask
Why does my photo keep going back sideways?
Most photo viewers rotate by changing an orientation tag rather than the picture, and any app that ignores that tag shows the original. This tool moves the pixels, so there is no tag left to disagree with.
Does turning it lose quality?
A quarter turn moves every pixel to an exact new position, so nothing is blurred or resampled. A JPG is re-encoded once when it is saved, which is very slightly lossy; a PNG is not.
Do my pictures get uploaded?
No. Your browser reads the picture, turns it and hands it straight back. We record only anonymous counts — how many images, how many bytes — and never a filename or any pixel.
